Traveling in and around Las Vegas is pretty easy and there are several forms of transportation available to utilize. Taxis are the major form of transportation for getting from one place to another in this city but there are more affordable and just as reliable forms of transportation that will conveniently get you to your destination. If you are traveling in big groups taxi is probably your best option since you can split the bill 4 ways. A taxi will cost you $3.30 plus $2.40 per mile. Some people might even want to split a luxury limo for about $33-$100 per hour and travel around Las Vegas in style; but if it is just a few of you touring the city than you might want to consider The Deuce, Monorail, tram, or bus system as some other alternatives.
The Deuce
The Deuce on the Strip is a double-deck bus which has a transportation service that runs along the Vegas Strip. This allows visitors to have the convenience of hopping on and off the bus all day to frequent the hotels along the way. An all day pass will cost you $7 for use within a 24 hour period or a 3 day pass is $15. If you just want to make one stop than you can get a single ride for $3. You can purchase your ticket directly from the driver with exact change. It is one great way to see the Las Vegas Strip for a reasonable price. The Deuce is also a quick an easy way to get to the McCarran Airport from the South Strip Transfer terminal.

Monorail
I like to use the Monorail system when I travel to Las Vegas. It is quick, clean, and a convenient form of transportation. The 24 hour pass for $14.00 is the most convenient to get on and off at different destination points along the strip. The Monorail has 7 station locations: MGM Grand, Bally’s, Flamingo, Harrahs, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Hilton Station, and Sahara Station.
The Deuce is more convenient in that it is closest to the Strip at all times whereas you have to take a bit of walk to get to the Strip from the Monorail. The Monorail is way faster though and gets you to and from the first station to the last station in about 15 minutes.
Trams
There are a few trams that travel between the hotels which are free and convenient. One goes between Mandalay Bay and Excalibur, Bellagio and Monte Carlo and Mirage and Treasure Island.
Depending on how long you are in the city and your timelines, one of these forms of transportation should fit your needs. For the most part, prepare to do a lot of walking and enjoy the sights along the way.
